San Diego Mamacitas Road Trip

Ruby and I were hanging out in our hotel room, the laughter and chatting of other mamacitas in the background, everybody enjoying themselves by the pool. We were looking at all the posts that our amazing attendees had posted from our road trip event and going through some of the stories. I was pretty exhausted from the day. I had woken up at 4AM, ready to hit the road with Yesica. I was SO tired but I was also filled with SO much gratitude. The LA Mamacitas “San Diego Mamacitas Road Trip” was truly a success.

At times we question why is it that we do what we do and why we put ourselves through it. That question always gets answered at the day of an event. When you see all of your work, labor, and love that we put into every event and see it come together in one setting…it’s an amazing feeling. I get so happy when I meet the vendors, when I meet new faces and when I see so many familiar ones. I always feel so happy and accomplished when people tell me how welcomed they felt at our events.

That is how I want people to feel. I want them to feel welcomed and leave with some sort of connection. A mom recently told me how comfortable she felt at this event to talk to other people because she usually feels shy. Events can be intimidating, specially when you go to one where you don’t know anyone.

When our events come around, people always ask me: how do I balance everything? The short answer to that is that I don’t. I don’t balance anything. I personally think that just doesn’t exist.  I am trying to do the best I can as the hours, minutes, and days go by. Every time we are planning an event for L.A Mamacitas I am doing several things at a time. Just like our community of women is tight knit, so is our team. Our team of 3 plan and put everything together. When you reach out to L.A Mamacitas you are being responded by us personally- we take pride in that. We want our Mamacitas to always feel welcomed. L.A Mamacitas is a place for everyone.

A huge congratulations to our vendors that attended the day and sold their beautiful products.
