Creating Memories

Disneyland is one of my favorite places to visit. Carl and I had an annual passport two years ago and went at least 25 times. When we found out I was pregnant, I was so excited to think about having a little baby joining us in all of the excitement.  (FUN FACT: After both of our parents found out I was pregnant, Minnie Mouse was the very next person to find out!)  This thought finally became reality when we recently went to Disneyland! Julianna absolutely fell in love with the place. Watching Julianna see Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in person will forever will embedded into my mind. The characters she sees daily on her favorite cartoon were standing right in front of her. She smiled with excitement, starring at them. These are moments I will never forget -memories are will always remain inside of me.

Here are some tips I think everyone should use for a Disneyland trip:

  1. Arrive early: You would be amazed how much you are able to cover when you are in line as soon as the park opens.

  2. Plan out what rides you want to go on first. When going with kids you are more likely to want to go to the age-appropriate ones first; almost none of the rides have FastPass.

  3. On busy days, as soon as the park opens, get FastPass tickets for the ride that always has a long line, such as Space Mountain or Splash Mountain, and then go to an attraction that generally has a long line but no FastPass, such as Peter Pan.  That way, you don’t have to wait in long lines for the biggest ride.  This works best if you are going with more adults.   .  My personal favorites are Space Mountain and Indiana Jones.

  4. If you go on a busy day be prepared to choose between enjoying all of the rides or watching the parade. It will be impossible to do everything in one day.
